Lloyd C. Atkinson, 66, of Lorain died Sunday, May 2, 2004, at home following a lengthy illness.He worked as a welder in the Lorain area for several years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was also a member of Herman Daniels VFW Post 8226.
Survivors include his daughter Sherry Atkinson; sisters Thelma Atkinson, Maria Bonilla and Juana Charlton and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Sandra; parents Clarence and Thelma (nee Harris); brothers Richard and Charles and sisters Shirley and Sherry Atkinson.
Friends may call Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 3900 Clifton Ave, Lorain where Funeral Services will be held Friday at noon. Pastor Ernest Battles will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Lorain. Arrangements handled by Wyers Funeral Chapel, Elyria.
