Faye L. D'Andrea, 75, Homemaker, enjoyed friends and family

She was born January 8, 1929 in Fremont, Ohio. She graduated from Lorain High School with the class of 1947B and has been a resident of Lorain County for the last 66 years.

In addition to being a homemaker, she dedicated her life to caring for her family and friends. Faye was a member of The Church of St. Peter in Lorain. She was an avid sports fan and her hobbies included reading, shopping, cooking, and playing cards.

Survivors include her husband of fifty-five years, Alfred W. D'Andrea, Sr.; her sons Alfred W. D'Andrea, Jr. and Ron W. D'Andrea, both of Lorain and Gary E. D'Andrea of Amherst; seven grandchildren; and her brothers Russell Reed and Bernard "Sparky" Reed, both of Lorain.

She was preceded in death by her parents Howard G. and Isabell (nee: Ehman) Reed; and by her sister Garnett Weider.

Friends may call Tuesday from 4 - 9 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. Closing prayers will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at The Church of St. Peter; 3501 Oberlin Ave., Lorain. The Rev. Fr. David Woost associate pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
