Mary A. Zrelak, 80, Enjoyed cooking and baking
Mary A. Zrelak (nee Tisler), age 80, of Waverly, Ohio, formerly of Lorain died Saturday, April 24, 2004 in Adena Hospital, Chillicothe, Ohio.Mary was born on January 7, 1924 in Lorain, Ohio and has been a lifelong resident, until moving to Waverly in June 2002 where she was a resident of Bristol Village Convalescence Home.
She worked as a dispatcher for Lorain Community Action/Head Start for about 8 years.
She attended Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church and St. Cyril & Methodius Slovenian Church, both in Lorain. She enjoyed cooking and baking, especially Croatian dishes, and gardening.
Survivors include two daughters: Joyce Zelina of Las Vegas, NV, and Lynn Gnizak of Louisville, KY; son: Randy Meziak of Lorain, OH; 3 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and a sister, Katherine Laney of Brandon, FL.
Preceding her in death were her husband Steve Zrelak in 1983; parents: Steve and Teresa (nee Matajanic) Tisler; and infant daughter Shirley.
Friends' may call Wednesday, April 28, 2004 from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. at the Dombrowski-Volak-Riddle Funeral Home; 1939 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain, Ohio. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
