David M. Gumble, 42, Tool and Die Maker at P.C. Campana
David M. Gumble, 42 of Lorain, died Friday, April 23, 2004 in the Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland following a lengthy illness.He was born December 12, 1961 in Avon Ohio. He was a Lorain resident for ten years moving from Sheffield Lake where he moved to in 1984.
He was a graduate of Lorain County Joint Vocational School in 1981, where he received a Welding Fabrication certificate. Until his illness, he worked at P. C. Campana Co., Lorain as a Tool and Die Maker Welder Fabricator. He worked there for five years. Before that, he was a Welder Fabricator for ten years at Metal Equipment Co. in Westlake. He also worked for Western Water Proofing on the Jacobs Field Construction Project.
He attended Avon Lake United Church of Christ. He was a Handyman who enjoyed woodworking, hunting and fishing.
Among the survivors is his wife of ten years Mary Ann Gumble (nee Spearnock); daughters Nichole and Amanda Gumble both of Oberlin and Cory Gumble of Elyria; step-son Brian Jones, Jr. and Step-daughter Heather Jones both of Lorain; two Grandchildren; parents Donald W. and Clara E. (nee Bossell) Gumble, Sr.; Brother Donald W. Gumble, Jr. of Sheffield Lake; sisters Nancy Trautman of Springfield, Oregon and Gail Bonar of Salem Wisconsin.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Anthony and Margaret Valore and maternal grandparents Andrew and Sophie Bossell.
Friends may call Monday 4:00 PM until time of service at 7:00 PM at the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain, Ohio. The Reverend Kelly Peaters pastor of Avon Lake United Church of Christ will officiate.
