Michele L. McGinnis, 44, Waitress at Mutt & Jeff's, enjoyed sports
Michele L. "Shelly" McGinnis (nee Radase), age 44, of Lorain, died on Tuesday, April 20, 2004 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph, Lorain, following a lengthy battle of lung cancer.
She was born on May 23, 1959 in Amherst. Shelly was a 1977 graduate of Marion L. Steele High School, where she was voted Homecoming Queen in her senior year. She has lived in Lorain most of her life.
She worked as a waitress at Mutt & Jeff's, Lorain for 12 years. She was an extreme sports fan and especially avid NASCAR fan.
Surviving is her son: Zachary T. McGinnis, of Lorain, her former husband and best friend: David R. McGinnis, of Lorain, father: Gerald Radase, Sr. of Vermilion, mother: Judith A. Jaworski of Delray Beach, Florida, brother: Jerry Radase, of Lorain, sister: Christine M. Szabo, of Ledyard, Connecticut, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be held on Friday, April 23, 2004 at 5:00 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain. Pastor Mark Pemberton, of St. Peter United Church of Christ, Amherst will officiate.
