Beth A. Burns, 53, Human Resource Manager at A.J. Rose, Avon

Beth A. Burns (nee Merry) 53, of Lorain, died on Monday, April 19, 2004, at her home in Lorain, OH following a brief illness.

Mrs. Burns was born on August 11, 1950, in Bowling Green, OH but lived most of her life in Lorain. She was the human resources manager for A. J. Rose Manufacturing in Avon for the last 3 years.

She was a very active member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lorain. Her involvement in church included teaching Bible study and Sunday school. She enjoyed reading, inspirational music, her Bible and sharing in arts and crafts with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Burns is survived by her husband of 32 years, Thomas W. Burns, three daughters, Nicole Burns Dertouzos and her husband Nick Dertouzos of Fairview Park, Mandy M. Burns, Holly M. Burns Evans both of Lorain, 4 grandchildren, brothers Craig Garfield of Medina, OH, Edward Merry of Media, PA, Brad Merry of Lorain, and Todd Merry of Parma, OH.

She is preceded in death by her parents Edward E. and Margaret (nee Smith) Merry.

Friends may call at Schwartz Spence Boyer & Cool Home for Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, OH, on Friday, April 23, 2004, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on April 24, 2004, at 10:00 a.m. in The First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 603 Washington Ave., Lorain, OH with Rev. Jimmy Madsen, co-pastor of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, officiating.
