Robert B. Morley Sr., 84, WWII Veteran, collected mini model cars
Mr. Robert Ben Morley Sr., age 84, of Grafton, Ohio, passed away Monday, April 12, 2004, at Elyria United Methodist Village in Elyria, Ohio.He was born Wednesday, July 9, 1919 in Cleveland Ohio, living in Olmsted Falls then in Grafton for the last 20 years. He served in the Army during World War II as a dental assistant in the Philippines. He was self-employed as an excavating contractor for 15 years, and then drove a school bus from 1964 to 1982 for the Berea School District until his retirement in 1982.
He was a member of the Cornerstone Masonic Lodge F&AM in Fairview, enjoyed collecting miniature antique model cars, camping and enjoyed the outdoors.
He is also survived by his son Robert B. (Wife Carol) Morley Jr. of Grafton,
Ohio, two grandchildren Kristine & Robert Morley, one Sister Phyllis Cain of Lakewood, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his wife Gwendolyn in 1997, a brother, and two sisters.
Friends may call in the Blackburn-Duke Funeral Home, 1021 Main Street, Grafton, Ohio on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Keith Mostad, pastor of Grafton United Methodist Church, will officiate. Friends will then be received in the Howard Tran Hall of the Grafton United Methodist Church, 971 Mechanic St., Grafton.
