Hugh Martin, 55, Enjoyed traveling, motor sports, and the lake
Hugh Martin, 55, of Vermilion, died Monday, April 12, 2004 in Community Health Partners West after a 10 year illness.He was born December 19, 1948 in Delmuir, Scotland, and had lived in Vermilion the past 50 years.
He worked as a diesel mechanic for Stoneco Quarries. He enjoyed traveling, motor sports and the lake.
Survivors include his mother, Betty (nee Stuart) Martin of Vermilion; sister, Carolyn Brumenschenkel of Vermilion; brothers, John J. Martin of Vermilion, and Robert Martin of Melbourne, Australia; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death was his father, Hugh Martin.
Private family services will be held. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion. Contributions may be made to the American Kidney Fund, 6100 Executive Boulevard Suite 1010, Rockville, Maryland 20852.
