Mary A. Curtis (nee Del Signore), 81, of Lorain died on Friday, April 9, 2004 at Community Health Partners Hospital & Surgical Center-West in Lorain, OH following a long illness.Mrs. Curtis was born on December 18, 1922 in Lorain, OH and was a lifelong resident. She was a graduate of Lorain High School class of 1941A.
She was a member of the Church of St. Peter in Lorain but recently attended Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Cleveland with her son. She enjoyed homemaking and was an avid reader.
Mrs. Curtis is survived by her daughter, Maureen Falkenstine of Lorain, her son, Jack Curtis of Lakewood, 2 grandchildren, her sisters Clara Poltrone and Virginia Reese both of Lorain.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years Thomas Gwyn Curtis in 1998, her son Thomas Evan Curtis in 1978, her parents Simone and Bambina (nee Ventresca) Del Signore, a sister Ann Abrahamonwicz, and a brother Patsy DelSignore.
Friends may call at Schwartz Spence Boyer & Cool Home for Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, OH, on Tuesday, April 13, 2004 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on April 14, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at Schwartz Spence Boyer & Cool Home for Funerals in Lorain, OH, with Rev. Kenneth Wolnowski, pastor of the Church of St. Peter, officiating. Mary A. Curtis will be buried at Elmwood Cemetery in Lorain, OH.
