Kathryn L. Breeden, 79, Retired from Lorain Telephone Co.

Photo of Kathryn L. Breeden Kathryn L. Breeden, 79 (nee Culp) of Avon Lake died on Thursday, April 8, 2004, in the Altercare Nursing Home in Mayfield Village following long illness.

Mrs. Breeden was born on August 21, 1924, Connellsville, PA. She has lived in the Lorain area for more than 50 years. She was a retired telephone operator for the former Lorain Telephone Co. She was a volunteer for Meals for Wheels and the library.

She is survived by her sons; Charles of Lorain, Kenneth of Atlanta, GA, Timothy of Vermilion a daughter: Karen Pound of Lilburn, GA, 12 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. Mrs. Breeden was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Sr. in 1984, parents Raymond and Gertrude Culp, sisters Belva Mason, Lilida Reese and brother Robert Culp.

Friends may call at the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain on Monday, April 12, 2004 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 13, 2004, at 11:00 in the funeral home with Rev. James E. Smucker, pastor of Heritage Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
