Edward "Eddie" Drag, 65, Enjoyed woodworking and helping people
Edward "Eddie" Drag, age 65, of Elyria, died early Sunday, April 04, 2004 at his residence, following a sudden illness.Born on October 30, 1938 in Przewrotne, Poland, Mr. Drag had lived in Elyria since 1971, coming from Poland.
Eddie had been employed at Marconi Communications "RELTEC" in Elyria for 25 years, retiring in 2001. He was a member of Nativity BVM Catholic Church in Lorain and a member of the Polish Club in Lorain. He enjoyed woodworking and helping people.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years: Stella (nee-Kramarz) Drag, whom he married August 29, 1960; 2 sons: Mark Drag and Eugene Drag, both of Elyria; 1 grandson- Tommy Drag: 2 sisters: Helen Koval of Fort Plain, New York and Sophia Warzocha of Poland.
Mr. Drag was preceded in death by his parents- Martin and Katherine (nee- Pruchnik) Drag and by 2 brothers.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 6, 2004 from 24 and 6-8 p.m., in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain. Services will be held on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m., in the funeral home, followed by mass at 10:00 a.m., at Nativity BVM Catholic Church, 418 West 15 Street, Lorain, with the Rev. Fr. Robert Glepko, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
