Ted Houston, 58, Enjoyed NASCAR, raising chickens, and gardening

Ted Houston, age 58, of Salesville and formerly of Columbia Station, passed
away Thursday morning in the Red Carpet Nursing Home in Cambridge, Ohio
after a long illness.

He was born Friday, Sept 7, 1945 in Pleasant Hill, Tenn., living in the Lorain County area most of his life.

He was formerly employed as a truck driver. Mr. Houston enjoyed stock car racing in car #29 at Lorain County Speedway and Sandusky Speedway. He enjoyed NASCAR, raising
chickens, & gardening. He was an avid fisherman & hunter.

He is survived by his wife Jo Ann (Hall) married 42 years; 2 daughters: Tammy Clement of Grafton, Ohio and Angela Volk of Grafton, Ohio; 2 sisters Lou Burgess of Crossville, Tennessee, and Genny Duke of Washington Courthouse, Ohio; 2 brothers Wesley Houston of Columbia Station, Ohio and Dich Houston of Columbus, Ohio.

He is preceded in death by his parents Walter & Lola (nee Kerley) Houston; brother Buck Houston, and sister Helen Burgess.

Friends may call in the Blackburn-Duke Funeral Home 1021 Main St. Grafton
Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. with funeral services Monday in the funeral home at 2:00 p.m. with Rev Jeff Duke & Rev. Tim Houston, both of whom are Mr. Houston's nephews.

Burial will be in Butternut Ridge Cemetery, Eaton Twp. Family suggest memorials be made to Guersey Co. Hospice.
