Ruth C. Buckhold, 76, Enjoyed gardening and bird watching

Ruth C. Buckhold (nee Gold), 76, of Avon Lake, formerly of Cleveland, passed away, Wednesday, March 31, 2004 at St. John West Shore Hospital, following a brief illness.

Mrs. Buckhold was born, October 5, 1927 in Youngwood, PA and had lived in Avon Lake for 50 years.

Mrs. Buckhold was a homemaker, who enjoyed cross-stitch, gardening, especially orchids and watching and feeding birds.

Mrs. Buckhold is survived by her husband, Kenneth W., whom she married, February 14, 1950. She is also survived by daughter Susan E. Spanos (Christopher) of Oak Harbor, OH; two grandsons, Jeffery Hertrick (Beth) and Richard Hetrick (Amy) and three great grandchildren: Danielle, Gwendolyn and Alexander; and brothers Donald Gold of California and Delvan Gold of Berea. She is preceded in death by a son Thomas (1977) and her parents, Donald and Ellen (nee Alexander) Gold.

Friends may call at the Busch-Burmeister Family Chapel, 163 Avon Belden Rd. Avon Lake, Friday, April 2 from 4-8 p.m. Funeral Services will be at the funeral home, Saturday, April 3 at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Kelly Peters of Avon Lake United Church of Christ will officiate. Interment will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst.
