Lupe Lopez, 76, Homemaker, enjoyed Tejano music

Lupe Lopez (nee Amador) 76 of Lorain died Wednesday, March 31, 2004 in Community Health Partners following a brief illness.

She was born June 19, 1927 in Bastrop, Texas. She came to Lorain in 1942. She was a Lorain resident for 52 years.

She was a homemaker and mother who enjoyed cooking, Tejano music and dancing.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel, Lorain. She was also a member of the Mexican American Citizens Club and the Mexican Mutual Society both of Lorain.

Among the survivors are her sons: Raul, Jose, David, Armando and Manuel all of Lorain; daughters: Yolanda Brillon (nee Lopez) and Anna Maria Lopez both of Lorain; 23 Grandchildren and 19 Great Grandchildren and a sister Estella Villarreal (nee Amador) and many Nieces and Nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Pedro in 1981 and Santos in 1975 ((nee Amador), sisters Rosa Soto (nee Amador) in 1996 and Margarita Reyna (nee Amador) in 1948, a brother Francisco Amador in 1998 and a Great Grandson also in 1998.

Friends may call Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain, Ohio.

Funeral services will be Monday with closing prayers at the funeral home at 8:45 a.m. followed by Mass of the Resurrection at 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, South Lorain. Reverend, Father William A. Thaden, Pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
