Agnes F. Golobich, 91, Enjoyed gardening, cooking, and baking
Agnes F. Golobich (nee Kitka), 91, of Lorain, died Saturday, March 27, 2004 at Amherst Manor Nursing Home in Amherst after a long illness.She was born June 10, 1912 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain area resident. She graduated from Lorain High School in 1932.
Mrs. Golobich was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Lorain, the church Altar and Rosary Society and volunteered with the Holy Trinity School PTU. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and baking.
She is survived by her daughter Judith A. Koch of Amherst and granddaughter Kristin M. Koch who is a student at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her husband Vincent J. Golobich in 1997, parents Peter and Anna Kitka (nee Zuffa), brother Joseph P. Kitka and sisters Ann Zabrecky, Sister Mary Margaret O.S.F., Sophie Kohuth and Mary Frazier.
There will be no visitation. A funeral mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 2428 Elyria Ave., Lorain. The Rev. David Novak, pastor of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, and the Rev. Leonard Bacik, pastor of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Middleburg Heights will concelebrate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
Arrangements are under the direction of Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain.
