Richard P. Zsebik, 67, Retired from Post Office in 1992, played piano
Richard Paul Zsebik, 67, of Lorain died, Tuesday, March 23, 2004, at home under hospice care after a battle with cancer.Richard, a lifelong resident of Lorain, graduated from Clearview High School Class of 1954. He served in the U.S. Air Force and worked as a clerk for the U.S. Postal Service retiring in 1992. He was also a professional piano player and used to play at many of the local clubs. Richard was a member of the National Wildlife Association, National Rifle Association, and National Postal Mail Handlers Union.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years Patricia (nee Mezlak); brother Elmer Zsebik of Lorain; sisters Barbara Bridge of Florida, and Lillian Johnson of Vermilion; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by son Richard Paul Jr; parents Alexander and Bertha (nee Kovach) Zsebik; and brother Ernie.
A Prayer Service was held Friday at Wyers Funeral Chapel in Elyria. The Rev. James Ols of St. Vincent De Paul Church was the celebrant. Burial is in Ridge Hill Cemetery in Amherst. The V.F.W. Post 541 and American Legion Post 30 of Lorain conducted military honors.
