Mary K. Carey, 95, Excellent homemaker, enjoyed sewing

She was born in Lorain on October 4, 1908 and lived most of her life in Vermilion.

She was employed at the Ben Franklin Store in Vermilion for several years. She was an excellent homemaker and enjoyed sewing and gardening.

Mary was a member of Grace Methodist Church, Madeliene Chapter #204 O.E.S., the Aural Club and former member of the Vermilion Business and Professional Women.

Survivors included daughter June Brandt; granddaughters Valerie Burk of Shelbyville, KY; Jessica Brandt of Vermilion; brother Joseph Krincick of Fairview Park; Sisters Anne Clason of Davis, CA, Lillian Woods of Boulder, CO, and 7 great grand children.

She was preceded in death by her husband Carl C. Carey; daughter Carol Carey Thompson; granddaughter Jennifer C. Brandt; sisters Matilda Horvath and Carolyn Bosley.

Funeral services will be private. Arrangements handled by Wyers Funeral Chapel, Elyria, OH.
