Robert ''Bobby'' Ward, 27, Active in Special Olympics, loved animals

Robert "Bobby" Ward, age 27, of Massillon, formerly of Lorain, died suddenly Monday, March 22, 2004.

He was born on August 23, 1976. He grew up in Sheffield Lake. Bobby was a graduate of Murray Ridge School. He was always very active in Special Olympics and church activities. He had a great love of animals.

He is survived by his parents Gary and Susan Ward of Lorain; brothers James and Michael of Lorain and Thomas of Wheeling, West Virginia; sisters Kelly, Sarah and Jennifer of Lorain and Melissa Doty of Elyria, grandparents J. Lester and Sarah Ward of Uniontown and Mabel Gilbert of Sandusky; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather Bob Gilbert.

A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, March25, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. in Catholic Church of St. Peter, 3655 Oberlin Ave., Lorain, with the Rev. Fr. Kenneth J. Wolnowski, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
