Robert A. Konnerth, Sr., 74, Enjoyed NASCAR and was an avid bowler

Robert A. Konnerth, Sr., 74, a lifelong resident of Lorain died after a short battle with cancer.

He was retired from B. F. Goodrich Chemical where he worked in Quality Control. He was in the U.S. Army and served in Korea. He was a life member of the VFW Post 451 and a member of Moose Lodge 552. He enjoyed NASCAR and was an avid bowler.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Mary Konnerth (nee Benner); children Kathy (Rick) Hutter of Diamond Bar, CA, Robert Jr.(Judith) of Streetsboro, David of St Petersburg, FL, Keith Sr (Michele) and Debra of Lorain; 9 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; Brothers Kyle of Daytona, FL and John Jr. of Lorain.

Friends may call Wednesday from 6 to 8:00 p.m. at Wyers Funeral Chapel, 2900 North Ridge Rd, Elyria. Funeral Services will be held Thursday at 10:30 at the Funeral Chapel. Rev. Evelyn Bonnell will officiate. Burial will be in Ridge Hill Cemetery, Amherst. Members of the Disabled Veterans Honor Guard will conduct military honors.
