Margaret ''Sue'' Perdue, 56, Worked in retail sales for 40 years

Margaret "Sue" (nee Gray) Perdue, 56 years of age, and a resident of Amherst passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2004 at University Hospital, Cleveland following a brief illness.

She was born July 9, 1947, in Charleston, West Virginia where she was raised. She graduated from Olmsted Falls High School in 1965. She lived in Lorain for 20 years and has lived in Amherst for the past year.

Margaret worked in retail sales for 40 years most recently working for two years at Lowe's, at DIY for one year and Target for 3 years all in Elyria. She was a supporter of Gay Rights in Lorain County.

Survivors include her companion of 25 years, Myrna Richardson; her sons, Matthew Perdue, Jr. and William Perdue both of Charleston, West Virginia, her daughter, Michelle Perdue of Charleston, West Virginia, 9 grandchildren; her brother, Sherman Nealson Gray of Brunswick, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sherman and Georgina (nee Morgan) Gray.

Friends may call Saturday from 2-4 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst where a memorial service will follow.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Margaret Perdue Memorial Fund at any Lorain National Bank.
