Elaine M. Priebe, 65, Enjoyed walking, cross stitch, and travel
Elaine M. Priebe (nee Feldkamp), 65, of Lorain, died Friday March 12, 2004 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain after suffering from Alzheimer's Disease. Up until March 10th she had been cared for at her home.She was born January 16, 1939 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain area resident. She was a 1958 graduate of Lorain High School.
Mrs. Priebe was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lorain and church Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a member of American Legion Post #30 Ladies Auxiliary and AMVETS Post #47 Ladies Auxiliary, both of Lorain. She enjoyed walking, cross stitch and travel.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years Donald A. Priebe of Lorain, son Donald P. Priebe of Tulsa, Oklahoma, daughters Vickie L. May of Lorain and Brenda S. Cambron of Jonesport, Maine, 8 grandchildren, brothers James Feldkamp, Richard Feldkamp, Ronald Feldkamp and Larry Feldkamp, all of Lorain and sisters Charlotte Engrish and Janet Serfozo, both of Lorain.
She was preceded in death by her parents George & Margaret Feldkamp (nee Kramer), sister Marybelle Broadfoot and twin brothers Gerald Feldkamp and George Feldkamp.
The family will receive friends Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain where the St. Joseph Ladies Auxiliary will pray the rosary Monday at 3:00 PM and a Christian Wake Service will be held Monday at 8:30 PM. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 9:30 AM in the funeral chapel followed by a funeral mass at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 317 W. 15th St., Lorain. The Rev. Noel Kramer and the Rev. Lou Maldonado, deacon of St. Joseph Catholic Church, will concelebrate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
