Doris Jean Unger, 71, Enjoyed her family pets and reading

She was born December 5, 1932 in Marblehead, OH. She was raised in Lorain County, and had been an Amherst resident since 1982.

Doris graduated from Lorain High School in the class of 1950 B. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Amherst and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, the family pets, and reading.

Survivors include her sons: James Unger of Avon Lake, Joseph and David Unger, both of Lorain, and Daniel Unger, of Las Vegas, Nevada; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and her sister: Carol Davey of British Columbia, Canada.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Leonard M. in April 1989, and Elsie (nee Krieger) Eno in January 1999; and by her brother: Leonard J. Eno on January 7, 1999.

Friends may call Friday from 7-9 p.m. in the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave., in Amherst. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. from the funeral home. Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church; 115 Central Drive, Amherst 44001.
