Adeline Rose Schwed, 88, Enjoyed Painting
Adeline Rose Schwed, age 88, of Elyria passed away Friday morning November 22,2002 in Elyria Memorial Hospital R.M.C. after a long illness.She was born September 1, 1914 in Parma, living in the Elyria/Laporte area all her life.
She is a former member of LaPorte United Methodist Church. Mrs. Schwed is a past president of the Elyria Board of Realtors, owner of Schwed Real Estate and founder of the Grafton Girl Scout Troops in 1944. She is included in The Who's Who of American Women, and a national speaker for real estate conventions. Mrs. Schwed is a 57 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star Lyndon Chapter #361 in LaGrange.
Mrs. Schwed enjoyed painting, knitting, traveling.
She is survived by her daughter Patricia Lambright of Elyria, two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
She is proceeded in death by her husband Howard in 1987, and her parents Werner & Carrie Kobelt.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 26, 2003 at 3:30 p.m. in Laporte United Methodist Church with Rev. Charles Oplinger pastor officiate.
