Virginia Weber, 72, Enjoyed shopping and being with family
Virginia J. "Ginny" Weber, (nee Fink), age 72, of Sheffield Lake, died Friday, August 15, 2003 in the critical care unit of Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center following an extended illness.Mrs. Weber was born March 24, 1931 in Canfield, Ohio and had been a resident of Lorain County since 1971 coming from Columbus.
She served as a volunteer teacher's aid at Washington Avenue Elementary School in Lorain for several years and ultimately was offered a paid position with the school district where she later served for twelve years.
She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church of Lorain whose hobbies included shopping and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years: James P. Weber, Sr., sons James P. Weber, Jr. of Pataskala, Ohio along with his wife Lynette, Michael L. Weber of Seguin, Texas and his wife Colleen, daughters Kathy S. Weaver-Clodwich of Sheffield Lake and her husband Mark D., and Lori Honaker of Lorain along with her husband Frank J., 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and sisters Dorothy Coler of Boardman, Ohio and Dories Means of Sebastian, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents Phillip and Myrtle Fink and six siblings.
Visitation will be Sunday from 4-8 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway, Lorain. Funeral services will be Monday at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral chapel with the Reverend Matthew Darrin, pastor of Church United Methodist Church officiating.
