Eleanor H. Adams, 83, Enjoyed walking her dog and feeding the birds and squirrels

Eleanor H. Adams (nee Heemsoth) age 83, of Avon Lake, formerly of Sound Beach, Long Island, NY, passed away, Sunday March 2, 2003 following complications of Alzheimers. Mrs. Adams was born, December 28, 1919 in Brooklyn, NY and has lived in Avon Lake for the past 53 years.

Mrs. Adams had worked in the kitchen at Aqua Marine, Avon Lake and Elonza, Westlake. She attended the Avon Lake Presbyterian Church and volunteered at church. She enjoyed walking her dog and feeding the birds and squirrels.

Her husband the late Robert E. Adams, Sr., passed away December of 2000. She is survived by a daughter Susan Mabe (John) of Avon Lake and a son Robert E. Adams Jr. Other survivors include 4 grandchildren, Brenda Reynolds, Andrew Dillon, Cathy Kenny, and Nick Mabe, 3 great grandchildren, a brother Fritz Heemsoth of Sound Beach, Long Island, NY and sister Evelyn Clausen of Smithtown, NY. Besides her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Aline (nee Kappelmann) Heemsoth.

Friends may call at the Busch-Burmeister Family Chapel, 163 Avon-Belden Rd., Avon Lake, Wednesday, March 5, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral services will be at the funeral home, Thursday, March 6, 2003 at 10:00 am. The Rev. Thomas C. Robinson of the Avon Lake Presbyterian Church will officiate. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memory Garden.
