Pearl D. Jacobs, 92, Avid gardener and enjoyed small children
Pearl D. Jacobs, age 92, of Lorain, passed away Sunday, February 23, 2003 at Ohio Extended Care Center following a short illness. She was born July 26, 1910 in Marion County, West Virginia.Mrs. Jacobs had been a resident of Lorain since 1925 coming from Holloway, Ohio. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Lorain and Berean Sunday School Class. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed being with small children.
She is survived by her son Fred L. Jacobs of Toledo, Ohio, daughters Ruth Irene Gould, of Toledo, and Sue Hall of Vermilion, 11 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren. Preceding her death are her husband LeRoy Jacobs in 1964, daughter Ruth Lee Neri in 1998, grandson Charles Neri, great grandson Sky Jacobs, sisters Shirley Humphrey, Edna Rice, and Goldie Jordan, and brother Clem Rice.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 25, 2003 at Reichlin-Cooley Funeral Home, 2920 Broadway Lorain, Ohio. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2003 at 11:00 am in the funeral home with the Rev. Jack R. Ison officiating. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
