Andrew J. Kielar, 100, Lorain Resident for 68 Years
Andrew J. Kielar, 100, of Lexington KY, formerly of Lorain died at home Sunday, February 23, 2003 following a short illness.He was born November 18, 1902 in New Castle, PA, lived in Lorain for 68 years, and has been a resident of Lexington since 1993.
He was a former member of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church.
He worked as a chemist at U.S. Steel Co. for over 35 years. Mr. Kielar was an avid fisherman.
Survivors include his son Dr. Richard A. Kielar of Lexington, KY, 3 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and sister Anna Simsic of Lorain.
He was preceded in death by his wife Julia F. (nee Werezynski) Kielar in 1991, parents Michael and Frances (Smialowski) Kielar, brothers Edward and Lewis, and sisters Mary, Bertha, and Sister Amanda.
Friends may call Friday, February 28, 2003 from 5-8 p.m. at the Dombrowksi-Volak-Riddle Funeral Home, 1939 Oberlin Ave., Lorain, where funeral services will be Saturday at 10:00 a.m. The Rev. Robert J. Glepko, pastor of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial park Cemetery, Amherst Township, Ohio.
