Rosemary K. Taddeo, 84, Enjoyed playing cards, traveling, crocheting, and knitting
Rosemary K. Taddeo (nee Spaetzel), age 84, of Avon Lake passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2003 at St. John & West Shore Hospital, Westlake following a sudden illness. She was born October 25, 1918 in Avon Lake.Mrs. Taddeo moved to Avon in 1941 and returned to Avon Lake in 1966. Rosemary was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Joseph Church, Avon Lake, and a former member of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church, Avon. She was also a member of the Autumn Rebels, the Sheffield Seniors, and the A.A.R.P. She enjoyed playing cards, traveling, crocheting, knitting, needlepoint work, and reading.
Mrs. Taddeo is survived by her daughter, Lois Johnson (Ross) and her son James Taddeo, both of Avon Lake; six grandchildren, one great grandchild and a sister, Esther Lambur of Amherst. She was preceded in death by her husband Julius (d. June 1980), whom she married on August 23, 194, a daughter, Janet Barnhart (d. July 1980), a brother, Edwin Spaetzel, sister Ruth Edwards, and her parents, John E. and Mary Stuckey (nee Obert) Spaetzel.
Friends may call at the Busch-Burmeister Family Chapel, 163 Avon-Belden Rd., Avon Lake from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Thursday, February 20, 2003. Prayer Services will be held at the funeral home Friday, February 21, 2003 at 10:00 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Church, 32929 Lake Rd., Avon Lake at 10:30 am. Rev. Timothy J. O'Connor will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Avon. Memorials may be forwarded to the Little Sisters of the Poor 4291 Richmond Rd., Cleveland, OH 44122-6199.
