George E. Gregory III, 50, Etchell's
George E. Gregory III, 50, of San Diego, California formerly of Rocky River and Vermilion, Ohio, passed away on February 18, 2003. San Diego services were held on February 22, 2003 at the San Diego Yacht Club.Born on June 12, 1952, he graduated from Rocky River High School, and attended Adrian College and Baldwin-Wallace College. He was well known in the sailing world and enjoyed participating in the 2000 America's Cup with the Stars and Stripes Team in the New Zealand Campaign, and was recognized as Etchell's "Sailor of the Year" in 2001, by the San Diego Yacht Club.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela Moes Gregory, daughter Molly Anne, parents Nancy and George Jr., brother Stephen, and sisters: Laura Coggins and Judy White, in addition to many loved friends and family members.
A memorial service will be held at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 3447 Liberty Ave., Vermilion, at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, February 26, 2003.
