Shirley M. Wells, 67, Enjoyed reading, animals, and traveling on short trips
Shirley M. Wells (nee Herbert), 67, of Sheffield Lake, was DOA in the emergency room on Monday February 17, 2003 at Community Health Partners Hospital in Lorain after suffering an apparent heart attack while driving her car.She was born May 16, 1935 in Lorain and had resided in Sheffield Lake since 1965 moving from Lorain.
Mrs. Wells worked as an assembler at Lorain Products (Marconi) for 20 years before retiring.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Lorain. She enjoyed reading, animal and traveling on short trips.
She is survived by her daughters: Linda Wells of Warsaw, Ohio and Karen Wells of Sheffield Lake; son James A. Wells of Amherst and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Alexander & Mary Herbert (nee Mraz).
The family will receive friends Friday from 6-9 p.m. at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain where funeral services will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. A funeral mass will follow at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 2428 Elyria Ave., Lorain with the Rev. David Novak, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
