Shirley A. Gillespie, 60, Enjoyed all forms of crafts and working with jigsaw puzzles
Shirley A. Gillespie, (nee Forinash), age 60, of Lorain, died Monday, February 17, 2003 at Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center following a brief illness. She was born August 31, 1942 in Salem, West Virginia and had been a resident of Lorain since 1972 coming from West Virginia.Mrs. Gillespie was employed as an aide at Autumn Aegis Nursing Home for many years. She was a family oriented individual who enjoyed all forms of crafts and working with jigsaw puzzles.
She is survived by sons: Howard R. Gillespie of Mesquite, Texas, Steven W. and Michael J. Gillespie both of Lorain, daughter: Mrs. Tim (Janet) Kiser of Lorain, 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, brothers: Charles F. Forinash of Xenia, Ohio, and Jack Forinash of Baltimore, Maryland, and a sister: Mary "Ginger" Golden of Salem, West Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Harvey and Kathleen (nee Kearns) Forinash, and by brothers: Edward, Ray and Wilsalee.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel - 3224 Broadway - Lorain. Funeral services will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral chapel with the Reverend Kenneth Wolnowski, pastor of the Catholic Church of St. Peter in Lorain officiating. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park - Amherst Township.
