June L. McVey, 83, Enjoyed gardening
June L. McVey, age 83, of Lorain, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2003 at Community Health Partners West following a brief illness. She was born May 24, 1919 in Lorain and has been a life-long resident.She worked at U.S. Steel during World War II and continued to work for several years after the war. She enjoyed gardening in her spare time.
Mrs. McVey is survived by nieces and nephews, and was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer R. McVey in 1969, her brothers: Harold, Gilbert, and Clarence Gray, and parents John and Margaret (Summers) Gray.
Friends may visit on Monday February 17, 2003 from 2-4 pm in the Reichlin-Cooley Funeral Home, 2920 Broadway Ave., Lorain, OH. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 am at the Funeral Home with the Rev. Chris E. Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, in Amherst Township.
