Lester Eugene Ware, 56, Enjoyed camping, fishing and most importantly cooking
Lester Eugene Ware, 56 of Sheffield Lake, formerly of Lorain, passed away at his home, Thursday, February 6, following a 3 month illness. Mr. Ware was born, October 11, 1946 and has lived in Sheffield Lake the past 29 years.Mr. Ware worked for the Ohio Turnpike Commission in the Highway Maintenance Department and continued to work up until the time of his illness. He enjoyed camping fishing and most importantly cooking. He was described by his family as being the happiest when he was preparing a meal and the larger the crowd the better. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Mr. Ware is survived by his wife of 30 years, Beverly R. (nee Snurr). Other survivors include two daughter, Paula Figueroa (Sammi) and Lisa Santigo (Robert), both of Lorain; a son Steven (Holly), of Sheffield Lake; 7 grandchildren; 3 sisters, Barbara Hoffman (Dean) of Newport, VA, Helen Woods and Lora Jones both of Lorain; 2 brothers, Frank Jones and Jesse Nichols, also of Lorain. He is survived by death by his Parents, French and Willis (nee Jones), stepfather Carl Nichols, Shirley Nichols and granddaughter Jaclyn Santiago.
Friends may call at the Busch-Burmeister Family Chapel, 163 Avon-Belden Rd., Friday, February 7, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be Saturday at the funeral at 1 p.m. Pastor Greg Varndell of the First Baptist Church of Sheffield Lake will be officiating. Cremations by Busch Crematory. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
