Mary Ann Knautz, 66, She enjoyed working with puzzles, crocheting, and her grandchildren

She was a graduate of Lorain High School and had most recently been employed as a customer service associate for the Provincial Dry Cleaners of Lorain. She was formerly employed as a credit manager for the Montgomery Ward Department Store as well as an administrative assistant for the Lee Furniture Store.
She was an active member of the United Church of Christ in Sheffield Lake where she served at one time as the superintendent of the church Sunday school program. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of V.F.W. Post #8686 of Sheffield Lake.
Her hobbies included working with puzzles, crocheting, and her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years: William, daughters: Rose Forster of Sheffield Village, Barbara Smithberger, Arlene Thompson, and Laureen Williston all of Sheffield Lake, Laura Huck of Lorain, sons: Robert Knautz of Sheffield Lake, and Dale Knautz of Mayfield Heights, 16 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, sisters: Patricia Jackson of Elyria, Rose Marie Kent of Lorain, and a brother: John Vilevac, Jr. of Grafton.
She was preceded in death by her parents: John and Margaret (nee Martincak) Vilevac, and a sister: Margaret "Peg" Jaskulski.
Friends may call Tuesday January 28 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11:00 am in the funeral chapel with the Reverend Robert Reich, pastor of the United Church of Christ in Sheffield Lake officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
