Anna Jones, 82, An avid Cleveland Indians fan, and enjoyed bowling as well

She was born June 11, 1920 in Lorain and was a lifelong resident. She graduated from Lorain High School, class of 1938 A. During World War II, she worked at the American Stove Works as a wing assembler and riveter.
Mrs. Jones was a member of St. John United Church of Christ and Saxon ladies Lodge Branch 11 both in Lorain. She was an avid Cleveland Indians fan and also enjoyed bowling. She bowled on many teams at Saxon Club, Broadway Lanes, and Rebman's Lanes.
Survivors include her daughters, Patricia A. Brings Plenty of Lorain and Arlene I. Jones of Maple Heights, sons Ned A. and Mark D. Jones of Lorain, 3 grandsons and brothers Martin W. (Bill) Binder of Lorain and George R. Binder of Findlay, Ohio.
Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband Ernest D. in 1995, brother John Binder in 1991, and her parents, John and Anna (nee Schell) binder.
Friends may call Friday January 24, 2003 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at the Dombrowski-Volak-Riddle Funeral Home 1939 Oberlin Ave., Lorain, where the funeral service will be on Saturday January 25, 2003 at 11:00 am. The Rev. Robert Smith, pastor of St. John United Church of Christ will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Amherst, Ohio.
