Alfred Dominico Sr., 87, Enjoyed gardening, fishing, and watching professional baseball

Alfred Dominico, Sr. age 87, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2003 after a lingering illness. He was born April 27, 1915 in Monesson, Pennsylvania, but resided in Lorain most of his life before retiring to San Diego, California in 1974.

He was employed by General Industries until his retirement in 1974, following 43 years of service.

Dominico was a member and a lay minister of the Church of Jesus Christ Restored Gospel in Lorain and San Diego. The church offices he held included: Treasurer of the Church and Building Fund; President of the Missionary benevolent Association; Superintendent of Sunday School; Teacher; Presiding Elder, and Evangelist. As a young man, he spent many hours helping to build the church building in Lorain.

He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and watching professional sports, especially baseball.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Josephine (nee Aquilino) Dominico, two sons, David of Wellington, Ohio and Fred of San Diego, CA, 6 grandchildren, 14 great grand children, and five great great grandchildren.

Friends may call Friday, January 31, 2003 from 6-8 pm in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2003 at 10:30 am at the Church of Jesus Christ Restored Gospel, 2655 Broadway, Lorain, with burial following at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
