Marlene S. Geil, 66, Enjoyed cooking, baking, and being with her grandchildren

Photo of Marlene S. Geil Marlene S. Geil, (nee Steinbaugh), 66, of Vermilion, died Monday, January 20, 2003 in New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph, Lorain, after a lengthy illness. She was born November 2, 1936 in Massillon, Ohio.

She was a member of the Vermilion Evangelical and Reformed Church where she was active in the Consistory. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Ronald J. Geil to whom she was married 41 years; sons, Ronald Jay Geil Jr., of Dubuque, Iowa, and Craig Matthew Geil of Vermilion; daughter, Karen Barnes of Carrolton, OH; and 5 grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents, Charles and Agatha (nee Davis) Steinbaugh.

Friends may call Wednesday January 22, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio.

Services will be held at the Riddle Funeral Home, Thursday, January 23, 2003 at 11:00 am. The Reverend Dr. John D. Hood, pastor of the Vermilion Evangelical and Reformed Church, will officiate. Interment will follow in Rugby Cemetery, Brownhelm Township.
