Joe Stroud, 23, Student at LCCC, enjoyed baseball and basketball
Joe Stroud, 23 of Vermilion, died Saturday, January 18, 2003 in Community Health Partners after a sudden illness. He was born January 7, 1980 in Amherst, Ohio and has been a life long resident of Vermilion.He graduated from Vermilion High School in 1999 were he played baseball and basketball. He was in his second year at Lorain County Community College. Joe had worked part time at Vermilion Drug Mart, Toledo Edison, The Turnpike Plaza, and Lowes.
Survivors include his parents, Joe Stroud, Sr. and Deborah (nee Lothridge) Stroud, brother, Kenneth Stroud of Vermilion, OH, sister Stacy Anderson of Vermilion, 3 nephews, 1 niece, and grandmother, Charlotte Lothridge of Vermilion.
Preceding him in death were his maternal grandfather, James Lothridge, and paternal grandparents John and Mary Josephine Stroud.
Friends may call Monday January 20, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio.
Services will be held Tuesday January 21, 2003 at 11:00 am at the Riddle Funeral Home. Rev. Guy Morton, pastor of Lakeview Baptist Church will be officiating. Interment will follow in Mapel Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
