Helen Smarsch, 95, Enjoyed Cooking & Baking

She was born August 18, 1907 in Toledo, Ohio and has lived in Lorain most of her life.
She was a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Lorain and its Altar & Rosary Society. She enjoyed cooking and baking, flower gardening and following the Cleveland Indians.
She is survived by her son, Stephen Smarsch of Lorain, 5 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, brother, Chester Gucman of Mt. Clemens, MI, step-sister, Irene Prisby of Mt. Clemens, MI.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Steven Smarsch, son, Robert Smarsch, daughter, Dorothy Smarsch and granddaughter, Stefanie Wilson.
Friends may call Monday, January 13, 2002 from 3-7 p.m. at the Dombrowski-Volak-Riddle Funeral Home, 1939 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain where the Alter and Rosary Society will conduct a rosary service at 4:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 14, 2003 at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 418 W. 15th Street, Lorain.
Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
