Robert David Guy, 55, Enjoyed Fishing
Robert David Guy, age 55, of Lorain, died on Monday, January 6, 2003 at EMH Regional Medical Center, Elyria following a sudden illness.He was born on February 10, 1947 in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. He moved to Lorain in 1970.
He served in the United States Army.
He was employed on the lake freighters in Michigan before coming to Lorain. In Lorain, he worked at Zeigler Tires, Cleveland as a salesman until 1993.
He was a member of the Church of God Prophecy. He also was a former member of the VFW and the Moose Club.
He enjoyed fishing, boating and fixing cars.
He is survived by his daughter, Misty L. Stump, of Elyria, foster son: Clyde Stump, of Elyria, former wife, Belle (nee Payne) Guy of Lorain, 3 grandchildren, brothers: Claude Guy of Atlanta, GA, Charles Guy of Blackfoot, Idaho and sister, Nancy LaCross of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan and great aunt Margarite Barras of Canada.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude Guy and Dorothy Barras Komsi and brother; Richard Guy and step-father Leo A. Kompsi.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, January 13, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain. The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #451 will conduct full military honors.
