Fiore "Andy" A. Andreano, 86, Owned/Operated Court Plaza Restaurant
Fiore "Andy" A. Andreano, 86 of Sheffield Lake formerly of Bay Village, passed away Sunday, January 5, 2003 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph, Lorain, following a short illness. Mr. Andreano was born, January 29, 1916 in Rochester, NY. He was raised and lived in Rochester until moving to Bay Village in 1983 and has lived in Sheffield Lake the past 4 years.During WWII, Mr. Andreano contributed to the war effort by working in the steel mill. For forty years following the war, he owned and operated the Court Plaza Restaurant in Rochester, NY. He was a member of the Moose Club in Rochester and the Amvets Post 55 in Sheffield Lake. He was described by his family as a generous person, doing for patrons of his bar as well as for his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a football and baseball fan.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Frances (nee Palozzi) whom he married, November 8, 1941. Other survivors include daughter Janet Larson of Sheffield Lake, sons William (Mykyong) of Tampa, FL and Anthony (Naomi) of Penfield, NY; 8 grandchildren, Paul Larson, Barbara Karam, Karyn Bozak, Adele Strum, Matthew, Paul, Stephen, and Nancy Andreano; 9 great grandchildren, Frances, Myah and Paige Bozak; Samantha, Nicholas and Madeline Karam; Jarod and William Larson and Jacob Strum. Other survivors include brothers Joseph and Alfred of Rochester, NY and Alexander of Alta Loma, CA. He is preceded in death by his parents, Cosmo and Michelina (nee Stupello) and brothers Alphonse, Phillip, and Harry.
Friends may call at the Busch-Burmeister Family Chapel, 163 Avon-Belden Rd., Avon Lake, Wednesday, January 8 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be at the funeral home, Thursday at 9:30 a.m. Fr. James H. Beatty of Holy Spirit Church will officiate. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memory Garden. Memorials may be forwarded to New Life Hospice 5255 N. Abbe Rd. Elyria, 44035.
