Gerald Benton Peggs, 73, Enjoyed Golfing

He was born Thursday, August 29, 1929 in Gilmer Co. W.Va. living in the Grafton/ LaGrange area 48 yrs. He is a member of LaGrange Freewill Baptist Church for many years where he also served as a deacon of the church.

Mr Peggs was employed by Meon Corp. in the Buffing & Poliish Dept. until his retirement. He was also a member of the Armed Forces of the United States.

Mr. Peggs loved gardening, and also enjoyed hymm singing, golfing & bowling.

He is survived by his wife Velma married 48 yrs., 4 Duaghters Patricia Dill of LaGrange, Ohio
Rosalie Snyder of Polk, Ohio, LaGretta Stewart of LaGrange, Ohio, Barbara Minon of Oberlin, Ohio, 6 Sons Rick Peggs of New London, Ohio, Homer Peggs of Parma, Ohio, Michael Peggs of Collins, Ohio, Jack Bean of Madison, Mississippi, Gene Beane of North Ridgeville, Ohio, Roger Beane of Elyria, Ohio, 26 Grand children, 35 Great Grand Children, & 1 Great Great Grand Child.

He is preceded in death by his parents Warren & Iva Peggs, 1 brother and 2 sisters.

Friends may call in the Blackburn Funeral Home 1021 Main St. Grafton, Saturday from 5-8pm with funeral services Sunday at 2:00pm in the Freewill Baptist Church 114 Union St. LaGrange with Rev. John & Junior Kimble off. Families will receive friends at the church Sunday at 1:00pm. Burial will be in River Rd. Cemetery, LaGrange Twp.
