Irene A. Naelitz, 89, Enjoyed Gardening
Irene A. Naelitz, (nee Gasek), 89 of Lorain, died Tuesday, December 31, 2002 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph, Lorain following a lengthy illness. Born June 13, 1913 in Detroit, Michigan, she lived in Berlin Heights, Ohio, before moving to Lorain in 1956.She was employed at Joseph and Feiss, Lorain, as a presser for over 10 years, retiring in 1975. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Elyria and had enjoyed gardening.
Surviving are her daughters, Barbara Horvath, of Lorain, and Karen Cantu, of Kingman, Arizona, sons Ben of Amherst, and Ronald, of Amherst, 9 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren, a brother, Leonard Gasek, of Norwalk. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin L., in 1984, her parents, John Gasek, and Cecelia (nee Rogers) Gasek.
The family will receive friends on Friday January 3, 2003 from 9:30 am until the time of mass at 10:00 am at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 41295 North Ridge Road, Elyria. Rev. Fr. James R. Ols, pastor, will officiate. The Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain is handling the arrangements.
