Sister M. Felicitas Anna Konecny, 87, Entered the community from Holy Trinity Parish in Lorain
Sister M Felicitas (Anna) Konecny, age 87 a member of the School Sisters of St. Francis fro 71 years, died December 28, 2002 at Mount Assisi Convent, Pittsburgh, PA. She was born September 14, 1915 in Lyndora, Pennsylvania.
Sister M. Felicitas entered the community from Holy Trinity Parish in Lorain, Ohio in 1929 and professed her vows in 1931. During her years of ministry she served in schools in the Diocese of Pittsburgh, Greensburg, Erie, and Allentown in Pennsylvania, Newark, and Patterson in New Jersey, and the Archdiocese of San Antonio, Texas.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents: Nicholas and Maria (nee Pollak) Konecny, sister: Frances De Genaro, and brother Nickolas Konecny.
The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on December 30, 2002 at Queen of Angels Chapel, at Mount Assisi Convent. Arrangements were handled by the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Inc., Bellevue, PA.
