Priscilla P. "Pinky" Radovich, 83, Her hobbies were cooking, baking, dancing, and caring for her grandchildren
Priscilla P. "Pinky" Radovich, (nee Yager), age 83, of Amherst, died Friday December 27, 2002 at Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center following a brief illness. Mrs. Radovich was born February 1, 1919 in Lorain and had been a resident of Amherst since 1975 coming from Lorain.She was a graduate of Lorain High School's Class of 1937 and went on to serve as an assembler for Nelson Stud Division of TRW. She was later employed for more than thirteen years in the Dietary Services Department of Amherst Hospital.
She was an active member of the Hungarian Reformed United Church of Christ in Lorain where she was a charter member of the Busy Martha Guild; she was also a member of the church's Caring Circle prayer group, and the Hungarian Sick Benefit Society. Mrs. Radovich's hobbies included cooking, baking, dancing, and caring for her grandchildren.
Survivors include her sons: Gerald of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Greg of Carlisle Township, daughters: Sandra Striker of Elyria and Cynthia Knowles of Lakewood, Ohio, grandchildren: Nicole Radovich, Natalie Radovich, Olivia Radovich, Ian Radovich, Michael Radovich, Bryon Striker, Denise Striker-Strauss, and Todd Radovich, great grandchildren: Bryon Striker II, Amanda Striker, Rachel Mertz, Evan Mertz, great great granddaughter Taylor Knowles. She was preceded in death by her husband: Donald Radovich in 1997, by her parents: Steven and Esther Yager, and by sisters: Bertha Elek, Stella Frey, Jennie Kodman, Helen Presutto, and Evelyn Karendaf.
Visitation will be Monday from 4-7 pm in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway, Lorain. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11:00 am in the Hungarian Reformed United Church of Christ, 1691 E. 31st Street, Lorain, where friends may call from 10:00 am until time of services. The Reverend Zoltan Kelemen, pastor of West Side Hungarian Reformed Church of Cleveland will officiate. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
