Margaret Zaleski, 61, Owned Margie's Hallmark

Photo of Margaret Zaleski Margaret "Margie" Zaleski (nee Ondulich), 61, of Lorain, died Friday December 27, 2002 at New Life Hospice Center in Lorain after a lengthy illness.

She was born June 11, 1941 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain area resident.

Mrs. Zaleski was the owner/operator of Margie's Hallmark Gift Shop at the Lorain Plaza.

She was a member of the Catholic Church of St. Peter in Lorain where she was a past member of church council and coached girl's volleyball. She served on the board of the Lorain County Visitors Bureau and the II Century Club of Community Health Partners Hospital. She was a volunteer with the St. Joseph Hospital Ladies Auxiliary and various other community groups during her lifetime.

She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Judge Edward M. Zaleski of Lorain, daughters, Paula Paule of Huron and Lynn Sedivy of Lorain; 6 grandchildren; mother Anna Ondulich (nee Miklos) of Boca Raton, Florida and sisters Carol Jean Silvestri of Boca Raton, Florida and Mary Beth Kolis of Biloxi, Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her father George Ondulich in 1966.

The family will receive friends Sunday, December 29, 2002 from 3-8 p.m. at the Catholic Church of St. Peter, 3601 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain where funeral services will be held Monday, December 30th at 1:00 p.m. The Rev. Kenneth Wolnowski, pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain.
