Frederick S. Truffin, 84, Member of St. Anthony of Padua Church
Frederick S. Truffin, age 84, of Lorain, died on Friday, December 20, 2002 at the Oakridge Home, Westlake, Ohio, following a lengthy illness. He was born on December 24, 1917, in Cleveland, Ohio. He moved to Lorain 22 years ago.He was employed as a furnace installer for 40 years, retiring in 1973. Prior to this he was a truck driver for Fisher Foods. Fred was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.
He is survived by his 2 sons: Frederick R. of Olmstead Falls, OH, and Kenneth of Sheffield Lake, 2 daughters: Donna Nadasdi, of Timber Lake, OH, and Joanne Marchant, of Sheffield Lake, 16 grandchildren, brothers: Arthur of Las Vegas, NV, Ted of North Royalton, and sister: Mary Jane Brady, of Las Vegas, NV.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years: Dorothy (nee Stanonik) in 1988, parents: Theodore in 1958 and Magdalena (nee Sindelarin) Truffin in 1988, and a brother: Carl in 1987, daughters: Denise in 1952 and Arlene Yascone in 1989.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 22 from 7-9 pm in the Dovin Funeral Home 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 23, 2002 at 10:30 am in the funeral home, followed by an 11:00 am mass at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Lorain. Rev. Fr. Charles Henkle, associate pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
