Rose M. Chasar, 79, Enjoyed selling fruits and vegetables from her home
Rose M. Chasar, (nee Campolo) age 79, of Lorain, died on Thursday, December 19, 2002 at Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center West, Lorain following a 2-year illness. Born December 14, 1923 in Lorain, she has lived here her entire life, and graduated from Lorain High School in 1940.She was a member of the Church of St. Peter, Lorain, and enjoyed knitting, reading, cooking, and baking. She also enjoyed selling homegrown fruits and vegetables at their family home produce stand for many years.
She is survived by her son, William, of Lorain, daughters, Joyce Hoffman, and Marilyn Chasar, both of Lorain, 4 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, Carmelo Campolo, and Nancy Campolo, both of Lorain. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Francis Joseph Chasar, in 1989.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 22nd, from 2-4 and 6-9 pm in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain where services will be Monday, December 23rd, at 9:30 am followed by mass at 10:00 am at the Church of St. Peter, 3501 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain. Rev. Fr. Kenneth Wolnowski, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
