John H. Baker III, 69, Welding Floorman
John H. Baker, III, 69, of Avon Lake passed away suddenly Tuesday, December 10, 2002 at his home.He was born November 25, 1934 in Morrow County, Ohio, and moved to Avon Lake in 1966.
He retired in 1995 from Danco Metal Products in Westlake as a Welding Floorman after 26 years of employment there. John enjoyed fishing and boating.
Mr. Baker is survived by his wife of 48 years, Connie B. (nee Robinson); two daughters, Rochelle Saghy of Lorain and Mary Katherine Bond of Augusta, Kansas; five sons, John H. Baker IV, "Jack" of Avon Lake, James Baker of Avon Lake, Brian Baker of Olmsted Township, Eric Baker of Florida and Matthew Baker of Olmsted Township; eleven grandchildren and two great-grand daughters and his sister Ethel Ott of California.
He was preceded in death by an infant grandson, a half sister, Marian Gladden and his parents, John H. Baker II and Eunice Baker (nee McHenry).
Friends may call the Busch-Burmeister Family Chapel, 163 Avon Belden Road, Avon Lake from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, December 12, 2002. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
