Barna "Bradley" "Barney" Stephan Olah, 70, Enjoyed Traveling
Barna "Bradley" Barney" Stephan Olah, age 70, of Avon Lake, died suddenly Tuesday, December 10, 2002 at St. John West Shore Hospital following a lengthy illness.He was born on August 29, 1932 in Cleveland, Ohio. In the late 1970's he came to Lorain from Eastlake. He was a graduate of West Technical High School, Cleveland.
Mr. Olah served with the United States Air Force during the Korean War.
During the 1960's he worked for Catepillar Company as a tow motor operator. Following that in the 1970's he worked as a diagnostic equipment teacher at Stewart-Warner in Cleveland, until the closing of the company. He also worked as a truck driver for several companies. Most recently, he worked as a car salesman at various places in the area.
He enjoyed traveling.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Brenda Lucas Olah, and 1 daughter, Patricia Lucille. He also had 2 brothers, Andrew and John and 2 sisters, Priscilla and Susan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Priscilla (nee Kish) Olah.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 12, 2002 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 13, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon. Rev. Roger W. Daene, pastor of Faith Lutheran Church, Avon will officiate. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens.
